Bollywood star Kiara Advani marked a milestone moment at the 2025 Met Gala, debuting not only on the world’s most glamorous fashion stage but also proudly revealing her baby bump for the first time. The mom-to-be dazzled on the blue carpet, radiating elegance, empowerment, and the unmistakable glow of motherhood.
For her debut, Kiara wore a custom couture creation by celebrated Indian designer Gaurav Gupta. The black gown, paired with a striking golden breastplate and dramatic double-panelled cape, was designed as a tribute to late fashion icon Andre Leon Talley. The ensemble blended strength with softness, perfectly aligning with the Met Gala’s theme this year, “Tailored for You.”
Speaking about the moment, Kiara reflected on the personal and symbolic significance of the look: “Making my Met Gala debut at this point in my life, as both an artist and mother-to-be, feels incredibly special,” she said. “Gaurav created Bravehearts, a vision that honours this transformative phase of my life. This is a silent tribute to individuality, intention, and strength—qualities that pave the way for the next generation.”
Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, Kiara’s look was accentuated with chunky gold jewellery, nail charms, and soft waves in her hair, bringing a touch of whimsy and femininity to the powerful statement outfit.
Her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, was quick to show his love and support on social media. Sharing a behind-the-scenes video of Kiara’s preparation, he flooded his post with heart emojis, clearly moved by her big moment.
Filmmaker Karan Johar also praised Kiara’s look in a heartfelt message, writing, “Look at this beauty!!! So stunning Ki. Mommy glow and fashion to bestow… Love you Kiara. So gorg.”
